Oregon State DT Fred Thompson Dies

Oregon State DT Fred Thompson Dies: Oregon State fresher defensive attitude fishing tackle Fred Thompson died early on Wed evening. He was nineteen years old.

According to Oregon State functionaries, Thompson was playing basketball game at Dixon refreshment Center on the university's campus when he cracked up. He was noticeable dead at Samaritan infirmary in Corvallis.

Head charabanc microphone James Whitcomb Riley was off-campus recruiting and is en route to Corvallis.


Oregon State held a press conference on Thursday, at a time to be announced.

Thompson was a first team selection in all the cities as a senior at Oakland Tech high school in 2009, notching 90 tackles and seven sacks as a senior.

A carefree gambler, Thompson described himself as a "goofball" during an interview April 14 on the website of Athletics of Oregon State.

"I'm a goofball, so I'm always dancing," said Thompson. "I can dance really well. I can juggle. I'm a music guy, but I like making jokes. Two of my teammates and I actually recorded a song last year. I just do it for fun when I have free time I like to do that. — "

Thompson would have turned 20 on Sunday.
