"Because of all the tattoos and piercings and makeup and physical transformations that must go through my body, would always feel sort of like I was in costume, although I was naked.
"It just felt like a good one to arrive-one need to get."
And stripping in front of the camera soon became the norm for the actress of "The Social Network", who wanted to remain faithful to the book as possible.
"Nudity is a huge part of the character in the book, so I never thought twice about it," he said. "There was no time for hesitation. I had no time to judge anything or be scared; I just showed up and it was convenient. "
For the film, Mara had also get piercing in his ears, on his lip and her nose so as to hack out a substantial portion of her hair and eyebrows of bleach. Surprisingly, the ears turned out to be the most sensitive part of her body.
"I didn't even had her ears pierced," said the actress. "They put four holes in each ear, and, oddly, that hurt the most."
