Chicago Cubs Get Lan Stewart for Tyler Colvin: Take Fans

Chicago Cubs Get Lan Stewart for Tyler Colvin: Take Fans: The Chicago Cubs closed what was an quietly calendar week —from an sports fan linear perspective—by filling up single of their most pressing needs —3rd base. The sonnies in agreement to trade wind outfielder Tyler Colvin and 3rd basemen DJ LeMahieu to the Centennial State Rockies for 3rd basemen Ian Dugald Stewart and pitcherful Casey atmospheric condition*. While these certainly isn't a major splattering of a business deal, it's single that makes pretty logical sense.

I all of the time likeable President Tyler Colvin. I all of the time thinking that he could have been a solid regular for the Cubs. None matter the trade wind, you always have that hen-pecking feeling in the back up of your head up that you just gave something away you probably should not have got. While that intuitive feeling isn't non-existent with Colvin, boilers suit, I think the greenhorns did fine.

There is no doubt that with Colvin and Stewart, we are looking for two players that could benefit greatly from a change of scenery. Both of these players have shown significant positive aspects, but they also demonstrated nerve-wrecking downsides. From a perspective of puppies, have had a field outside overcrowded for some years and are in dire need of a third baseman. With this move, they are able to acquire a third Basemen, ship off the outfielder and give Colvin a chance to have success somewhere. I'm fine with all of the above. In general, is what you would call a fair trade.

However, the fact that Stewart is coming off injuries — to his hand and wrist specifically — scares me half to death. General manager Jed Hoyer attempted to set those concerns aside from saying "we would not have made this trade or renounced the talent. We have given, if it wasn't [healthy] we're expecting Ian to come — and obviously has to bounce back from last year — but let's assume he does and we're looking at him as our starting third baseman. "

From the other side of what other Hoyer stands for mean?

In general, I think it's a solid trade. Fills the needs for the Cubs in what was a generally quiet week for the team. Uncertainty is not equal to victories; nor does not change, but when you're in recent activities 20 games under. 500, take hope where you can get. Welcome aboard, Ian
