Tim Tebow makes again, this time against the San Diego Chargers

It wasn't always pretty, and almost ended in a tie before the NFL since 2008.

There was still, Tim Tebow, doing enough to help lead the Denver Broncos to a 16-13 victory over the San Diego Chargers. After Nick Novak missed a 53-yard field goal, Matt Prater Denver kicked a 37-yarder with 29 seconds left, making Tebow 1-5, since he was elevated to starting quarterback.

Tebow was not to look like Novak to try the 53-yards.

He was praying, of course.

Tebow did ask to lose?

"I could have said that. Or maybe a block. Maybe everything, "the Denver quarterback said with a laugh.

Whatever, it worked.

Novak pushed his kick wide right. Tebow moved the Broncos down the field for football which sent the Chargers to their sixth loss barreling straight.

With that soccer, now there was a tie in the NFL since stalled Cincinnati and Philadelphia ended at 13 on November 16, 2008.

"This is a special squad, a special team when you have a group of guys that when things aren't going well we approach instead of pulling apart," says Tebow, which grates on some people because he is openly religious. "The reason for no 1 which we like that is because we believe in each other, we believe in personal coaching."

Coach John Fox believes in his quarterback, although Hall of Famer John Elway, Broncos Executive VP of operations, is not totally sold on third down conversions and numbers.

"Tim has exceptional ability," said Fox. "Demonstrated a high level of college football in ESA in Florida. (The option is) something that he is comfortable with. I think our team has adapted to it. Now you are working in the execution of our offense. We still have some growing to do step in. "

Tebow has been a savior for the Broncos since Fox was a starter on the heels of his performance in a narrow loss of the charger 9 October in Denver.

Broncos (6-5) have won four straight to trail Oakland by one game in the AFC West. In addition, there are 4-0 on the road under Tebow.

Tebow Denver led by its Novak after 43 was wide right on a 53-yard field goal try with 02:31 left in overtime. Novak made a 53 yards in the first quarter, a better career and was wide right on a 48-yard early in the fourth quarter.

Tebow had a 12-yard gain and Willis McGahee ran 24 yards up the middle to set up the winning kick of the Prater, which was right in half. McGahee finished with 117 yards on 23 carries.

Tebow, the NFL's speech because it runs the option reading and often passing struggles, carried 22 times for 67 yards – the most carries by a quarterback in a game in 1950, according to STATS LLC.

He also threw for a touchdown and ended up with a better rating than Philip Rivers, 95.4 to 77.1. Rivers was pressured all day by Elvis Dumervil, who had two sacks and rookie Von Miller, who had one.

Novak has not had an explanation for his miss OT.

"Had a good warm-up and that hit the ball pretty decent," said the 53-yards, which he kicked in the first quarter. "When the first football game from 53, gives you a lot of confidence for the upcoming kick to come."

Charger connector (4-7) are on their longest streak since late 2001 with nine straight defeats and last in the Division, three games behind Oakland with five to play.

"There is nothing I can say to make it sound good," said rivers. "It's about rough as it gets".

San Diego's Ryan Mathews, who was having the best game of his career for two years, was the sideline for the possession of crucial when Novak lost. Fullback Mike Tolbert was thrown for a loss of 4-yard play before Novak lost.

Turner has not had an explanation for what happened.

"Come and I'm not sure why it came out," Turner said. "We're in the middle of the unit. I assumed when came who came for a game, and then he did not return. "

Mathews ran 22 times for a career-high 137 meters.

Tebow had two nice completions in guiding the Broncos at the main score, 24-yard field goal of the Prater with 01:34 to go in regulation.
