Osbourne defends Cyrus after joke

Kelly Osbourne has leaped to the defence of his pal Miley Cyrus after the teenager laughed about how to become a "stoner" at his birthday party last week, insisting it was all a joke.

The singer/actress celebrated turning 19 with a big bash at the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles, organized by his co-star so Undercover Osbourne.

A video of his speech that birthday emerged online, in which Cyrus made reference to his controversial bong-smoking last year, when she was captured on camera puffing on a huge tube presumably containing the Hallucinogenic Sage legal high.

After being presented with a cake in the shape of late reggae Legend Bob Marley fan and marijuana, said, "you know you're a stoner when friends make you a cake of Bob Marley-sai smoke way too f *** in ' weed."

Osbourne then joked, "I thought Sage was your problem!"

Gossip blogger immediately jumped on comments Cyrus ' as an apparent confession on his alleged propensity for pot, but Osbourne was quick to clarify the claims.


In a series of posts on her Twitter.com blogs on Sunday, an annoyed Osbourne writes, "Let me make something very clear after the incident of Sage @ MileyCyrus that we started to call her bob miley as a joke! the cake was also a joke! It makes me @ MileyCyrus ' so called ' friends ' sick would sell out and drive the people 2 (sic) believe that she is someone that she's not! "

And Osbourne is firmly convinced that Cyrus would never be able to keep up with his busy work schedule if she was consistently high.

She adds, "guys u (sic) if @ MileyCyrus isn't recording/shooting/touring works everyday as could you possible (sic) do everything if she was a stoner! think ".
