Gunn, who's openly gay, hasn't been too forthcoming about his personal life in the past. But that changed during a visit to ABC's daytime lifestyle show, "The Revolution" on Tuesday.

When
the topic of conversation honed in on how to jumpstart your sex life,
Gunn self-confessed mastermind, "I will share with all of you ... I haven't had sex in 29 years. Do I feel like less of a person for it? No, not even remotely. "
"I'm perfectly happy, fulfilled individual," said Gunn, who added, "I have feelings. It's not as though I am some barren forest. "
The reason? Gunn,
58, said it's psychological, explaining, "I was in a very intense
relationship for a long time and my partner ended it, saying quite
frankly that he was impatient with my sexual performance ... It was at the cusp "of AIDS, and I think a lot of people simply retreated because they were concerned about their health. I certainly was. I'm happy to be healthy and alive, quite frankly. "
But the style maven isn't ruling out intimacy in the future--he doesn't have a no-sex "mandate." "I don't know what's around the corner, he said."
