Katherine Heigl channels a bounty hunter in one for the money: After more than 20 years working for someone else, Katherine Heigl decided to try the self-employment and bought the rights to the popular Evanovich novels about a seller of lingerie turned bounty hunter named Stephanie Plum. Three years later, with plenty of energy spent, the actress has a movie to show for his first attempt at production.
Heigl plays Plum action comedy one for the money, opened on 27 January. The film is the first version of 18 books, so the 33-year-old is hoping for a franchise of its own.
In the photo, plum is unemployed, facing eviction from his apartment and has no alternative but to release his cousin sneaky Vinnie to see if it needs a Bail Bonds Office to Vinnie. Instead, Plum ends up being hired as bail enforcement agent.
Her first case is to track down an old high school, Joe Morelli (Jason O'Mara). He is a skipper — and a former security policeman wanted for the murder of a drug trafficker.
With the help of mysterious streetwise Ranger (Daniel Sunjata), Plum finds Morelli, but soon discovers that the case is more complicated than previously thought.
Thrown in for good measure comic is an informant can and wisecracking prostitute (The View's Sherri Shepherd) and grandmother of extravagant Plum (Oscar honored Debbie Reynolds), which each offer observations, solicited or not.
