Undead: Reba McEntire Country singer is latest celebrity to fall victim of a hoax death online

Undead: Reba McEntire Country singer is latest celebrity to fall victim of a hoax death online:  The latest celebrity to fall victim to the hoax is Reba McEntire and a number of false alarms absurd death is been spreading like wildfire on the Internet within the last year.

The country singer has been the target of a hoax report published online Monday night, claiming that the 56-year-old recently died while filming a movie in Kitzbühel, Austria.

"Preliminary reports by Austrian police officers indicate that the actress has dropped more than 100 meters to his death in a remote area of the mountains Hahnenkamm, while on set," read a report on Global News.

Field of McEntire didnt respond to a request for comment, and fans were flooding Facebook page of the flame-haired singer and Twitter account with desperate wondering if the story is false.

Although McEntire hasn't updated his social networking pages since early afternoon Monday, a disclaimer easily overlooked located at the bottom of the website Global Associated News reveals that the story is a complete fabrication.

In small print, a box reads: "this story is 100% fake! This is an entertainment site, and this is a totally false article based on zero truth and is a complete work of fiction for entertainment purposes!

"This story was dynamically generated using a generic ' template ' and is not done. Any reference to specific individuals was 100% made by visitors to the site who created the fake stories by inserting a name into a blank template ' non-specific ' for the purpose of entertainment. "

McEntire is the second famous face to fall victim of a hoax death online within the past week.

On Friday, a Twitter user concocted a fake tweet made to look like a retweet from CNN's official account claimed that Cher had disappeared. Although many – including Kim Kardashian – fell for the hoax, good friend of pop icon, jewelry designer Loree Rodkin, quickly set the record straight.

Di Facebook IPO: mettendolo in contesto

Di Facebook IPO: mettendolo in contesto:  Facebook’s rumored to be filing its paperwork for its initial public offering Wednesday and is reportedly trying to raise $10 billion, which would give it a valuation of $100 billion. How do these numbers match up?

Historically speaking, if Facebook has raised that much for its initial public offering, it would:

— be the sixth-largest U.S. IPO ever, sliding between AT&T Wireless and Kraft Foods.

— be the 15th-largest IPO in global history, behind Glencore International and ahead of Japan Tobacco.

— have an initial public offering more than six times that of Google. Google currently holds the record for the largest technology IPO, according to Renaissance Capital, of $1.66 billion.

— come in with more hype than other technology companies, thanks to a per-share valuation that at least one investment firm predicts will open “north of $100,” Forbes reports. For example, when Apple went public Dec. 12, 1980, it was priced at $22 per share, climbing to $29 by the end of the trading day, according to Walter Isaacson’s biography of Steve Jobs. The Wall Street Journal reported that Apple made less than $100 million by selling stock to the public. Google, according to archives from The Washington Post, was valued at $85 per share, surging to over $100 a share by the end of the day for a market capitalization of $27.2 billion.

— have a market capitalization larger than Disney ($70 billion) or General Motors ($38 billion), if reports that its market cap is expected to be between $75 billion and $100 billion ring true. Compared with its technology peers, however, its market cap would be on the low end of the list, as compared with Google ($187 billion), Microsoft ($248 billion) or, of course, Apple ($422.47 billion). It would, however, outstrip Amazon, which has a current market capitalization of about $87 billion.

The hype is certainly there for Facebook’s IPO,but the question that will dog its heels is whether or not it can buck the trend that’s plagued other technology IPOs in the past few months — whether it can debut strong and keep up the momentum. Although almost a third of all initial public offerings in the past 12 months have been in the technology sector, prominent debuts from Groupon, Zynga, LinkedIn and Pandora have all fizzled quickly.

Zynga, for example, opened at $10 per share and closed at $9.50. The stock has recovered since then, closing Monday at $10.39, but has hardly been the breakaway success that many had hoped for. Similarly, LinkedIn, which skyrocketed from an opening share price of $45 to a first-day close of $94.25, has settled back down to Earth at about $75 per share.

Big Dunk buttons Clippers Blake Griffin above Thunder

Big Dunk buttons Clippers Blake Griffin above Thunder:  Jaw-dropping one-handed jam by Blake Griffin on Kendrick Perkins sent all the fans of the Los Angeles Clippers in a frenzy, fired his teammates, illuminated the Twitterverse and burned the Thunder in Oklahoma City.

Griffin had 22 points to go with 26 points and 14 assists in a 112-100 victory Monday night that snapped the winning streak of four games in a thunder matchup of Division leaders Chris Paul.

Griffin downplayed his move Monster after the game, a twinkle only briefly breaking his serious expression.

' CP commands so much attention out there. Came off the pick and roll, and struck me in stride, '' Griffin said.

Paul added: '' I said Blake after the game, ' thanks for letting me be part of this. ' '

DeAndre Jordan Griffin grabbed from behind in a bear hug as celebratory basketball got replayed over and over again in the third quarter.

Jordan, who had 11 points and 11 rebounds, couldn't do the same.

' I was shocked. I didn't know what to do, so I just grabbed him. I hit him sort of hard, ' he said. ' I'm going to go home and watch it again. Probably going to be the screensaver on my phone. '

Griffin said that he knew that he had made a good impression, judging by the raucous crowd response. Then he felt Jordan behind him.

He armlocked me, '' Griffin said. '' I couldn't breathe. '

The reaction on Twitter came fast and furious.

Larry Fitzgerald tweeted the Arizona Cardinals wide receiver: ' Blake Griffin just made one of the top dunks of the season. Perhaps his career. (hashtag) Beast. '

Tracy McGrady of the Atlanta Hawks weighed in with ' yo, crazy crazy dunk by dude Blake Griffin. '

Also ex-wife of Shaquille O'Neal has impressed.

Shaunie O'Neal tweeted: ' OMG!!! Did you all see only Blake Griffin dunk!! Daaayyyummm! '

Paul had 26 points and 14 assists, Caron Butler also had 22 points, Chauncey Billups scored 13 and Mo Williams 12 Pacific leaders as Clippers dunked with high-flying abandonment against the team with the NBA'S best record to 16-4. They won their third in a row to follow up a 109-105 victory in Denver the night before that began a streak of five matches in seven nights.

' We're not going to read too much into it, ' said Paul of consecutive victories. ' Let us know what we can. We exploded offensively. '

Kevin Durant had 36 points and 13 rebounds and Russell Westbrook added 31 for the Thunder leader in the Northwest, where the best road record fell to 8-3. They had won 11 of their previous 12.

' Chris Paul was around, getting what he wanted to get on the floor and making passes at guys for dunks and wide-open 3s, '' Durant said. ' It is difficult to stop. '

Monster mash of Griffin had everyone talking and tweeting, but the Clippers put together a breathtaking sequence enter the first time.

Thunder rocked with four consecutive 3-pointers in less than a minute to lead 64-46. The flurry of Williams (two), Butler (one) and Billups (one) stopped execution of 11-2 Thunder had drawn them within six points.

' Mo said that he could be the biggest Exchange that I have been part of since I was in the NBA, '' said Paul. ' That got the crowd into it. Four 3s in less than a minute is incredible. '

Jordan said: ' we were just hot. I really don't look as if it were real. We were on a high, but we knew we had to go out in the third and knock out the plate. '

The Thunder bumbled their way up to half, with combination of Westbrook and Durant on three straight turnovers that led to the Fireworks long haul of the Clippers. Williams and Butler had two steals in flight.

'' That doesn't happen, and not likely to happen once the rest of the year, that a team will make 3s that many in a minute, ' Thunder coach Scott Brooks said. ' But they did shots. They started the game with a lot of urgency and had us back on our heels. '

Los Angeles shot 71 percent from long range in the middle which also featured a series of huge dunks by Jordan, Griffin, Durant and Westbrook, although both teams lose their share of dunks, too.

Daequan Cook was the only other player Tascott in double figures with 12 points. Durant and Westbrook scored all but two of the 25 points of Thunder in the third quarter, the Clippers ended the 3-pointer from Paul to lead 90-70.

Durant and Westbrook began the fourth on the bench, although both arose when Cook hit his second 3-pointer of the period to get the Thunder 95-81. Griffin then scored five in a row, capped by a two-handed jam that extended the Clippers 100-81.

Victoria Azarenka sweeps Maria Sharapova at Australian Open

Victoria Azarenka sweeps Maria Sharapova at Australian Open: If the ringing in your ears has subsided after arguably the highest-decibel women's final in history, here are two bits of news.

Victoria Azarenka won her first career Grand Slam title with a 6-3, 6-0 dismissal of Maria Sharapova in the Australian Open championship Saturday night. In so doing, Azarenka also was crowned the new empress of women's tennis.

The notion of a No. 1 with a Grand Slam trophy on her mantle is a radical concept on the WTA Tour after a series of recent No. 1s - Caroline Wozniacki, Jelena Jankovic, Dinara Safina - came under heavy criticism for holding the top ranking without winning a major. So, for now, that talk will subside.

And beyond the distracting racket that drowned out the few great rallies the two women provided during a lopsided final, the 22-year-old from Belarus can bask in her mission accomplished.

"Right after the win I couldn't understand what's happening, you know, and I could not believe the tournament is over because it's been so long, this road since (the first warm-up event in) Sydney," Azarenka said. "I didn't have one day off, so it kind of kept going kept going and right now it still hasn't hit me that it's over and I won this."

She took a few games to get going. But at 2-2, Azarenka reeled off 10 of the remaining 11 games to hand Sharapova a major pasting.

The 24-year-old from Russia, the 2008 champion, had a poor day at the office.

Had Azarenka not handled her first major final with such poise, had she felt the nerves that have historically tortured other Grand Slam final first-timers, perhaps Sharapova might have found a way.

As it was, she went down in a flurry of unforced errors in an effort to try to dictate points against an opponent who also makes her living that way - and was in full flight.

"She did everything better than I did today. I had a good first couple of games, and that was about it. Then she was the one that was taking the first ball and hitting it deep and aggressive. I was always the one running around like a rabbit, trying to play catch-up all the time," Sharapova said. "She was a step quicker. First shot was bigger. Just not a good combination, I guess."

It was the second Grand Slam final in six months that Sharapova lost to one of the "next generation."

She was defeated 6-3, 6-4 in the Wimbledon final last summer by Petra Kvitova. But having played little since September, save for a couple of hobbled performances at the World Tour finals in Istanbul, Turkey in November, because of a sprained ankle, Sharapova was pleased to be there on the final Saturday of a tournament she entered with many doubts and few expectations.

For Azarenka, the victory was a long time coming, if such a thing can be said of a 22-year-old. She was a can't-miss junior who won the girls' event here in 2005 at age 15 (defeating Aleksandra Wozniak of Blainville, Que., in the semifinals). But for a long time, her head got in the way of her game.

Slowly but surely over the last few years, with the help of French coach Sam Sumyk, Azarenka has been maturing both as a person and a player.

"I feel like he was not pushing me, but guiding me towards that mental approach, you know, to that winning attitude. He helped me to find my way, so I think I owe him a lot for that, for educating me," she said of her coach. "I think it's important, especially for the young players, to have that education. That you have to learn how to do it yourself, because (at) the end of the day you're the one who's holding the racket. Nobody else is going to do that for you."

Azarenka has morphed from a hotheaded player with a bigger game to an emotionally stable player who has improved her movement, upped her consistency and - most importantly - no longer beats herself.

She isn't a particular favourite among tournament support staff, to whom she can be dismissive. The ball kids aren't huge fans, either. The paying customers, who at times during this tournament mimicked her long, extended squeals even if the crowd for the final match was fairly respectful, will have to warm to her.

But at 22, the Grand Slam ice broken, she has time to work on all that as well.

Tiger Woods falters in Abu Dhabi Golf Championship

Tiger Woods falters in Abu Dhabi Golf Championship:  ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates-Robert Rock held his nerve Sunday to beat US Open champion Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods at the golf course of Abu Dhabi, the biggest win of his career in English.

The rock ranked 117th shot a two-under 70 for a 13-under 275 total beat the Northern Irish 22 years by a shot and the winner of important 14-time by two. Woods finished in a tie for third with Thomas Bjorn (68) and Graeme McDowell (68).

Woods started the final round tied for the lead with unheralded rock. He appeared ready to win his second straight tournament after ending a winless drought of two years with a victory last month at the Chevron world challenge.

But Woods displayed for a long weekend the abandoned Sunday and was Rock that held together along the stretch.

Not "hit the ball as I should," said Woods. "Today I was just a touch away. I was straightening the ball across the fairway. I was hit the ball a bit more than I thought I would so something to look at something and to try to understand. "

Woods started off strong and looked like he might pull out of the rock, sinking a 40 footer on no. 2 for a birdie and then chipping machines within a foot of the Cup for a second birdie at 3°. But Rock, who said on Saturday that it was a bit overwhelmed to face his idol-don't blink. He also birdied the first two of three holes to keep up.

Then Woods began to unravel.

Began to spray his unit in the often rough and fairway bunker, resulting in the first of three bogeymen. When Woods was missing fairways, he was scrambling to save par as he did the day 11, when the green. As he approached his shot into the deep rough just off the Green 11, he sighed heavily and let out a stream of obscenities under his breath.

Woods managed to save par on 11 by sinking a 12 footer and Rock just missed a birdie putt. Woods pumped his fist and looked to be regaining momentum when he pulled within one shot of rock on no. 13, when the Englishman was one of his three bogeymen. But the rock of 34 years, birdied two of the next three holes to take control.

Rock on 18, when he staggered his car landed in a pile of rocks near the water-forcing him to take a drop. But he recovered beautifully, reaching the green in four and then two-putting for victory.

The loss is the second straight time Woods has failed to win at least a share of the lead after 54 holes. Lost world challenge in 2010 after Chevron going into the final round with a four-shot advantage on McDowell.

Woods acknowledged that it was not the way that he wanted to start the season 2012 but took comfort from the control that showed the first three days and putt that he made in the last three days, he said. She lost her win 84 and the fifth time in nine years to open the season with a victory.

"Obviously the ultimate goal is to win and I win," said Woods.

"I hit the ball well enough to win the golf tournament this week," he said. "Today I just didn't give me enough look to it. Most of my Putts were LAG Putt. I don't Drive the ball in the fairway as many as I should have. Some of the balls were running. Other balls, I was just missing. It was a day that I was just a touch out off the tee and could get the ball close enough to give me ".

IRS lowers Bar for innocent spouse relief

IRS lowers Bar for innocent spouse relief:  Filing a joint tax return has the legal effect of an irrevocable election by each spouse to be firmly in charge of tax reported or reportable back correctly. In other words, each spouse can be held liable for the full amount of the tax, even if the IRS can levy taxes only once.

Internal Revenue Code section 6015 authorizes the IRS to grant a relief spouse from a common return, where is unfair to hold the spouse for the return. Revenue procedure 2003-61, the IRS established the following eight factors to be weighed in deciding requests for innocent spouse relief:

Marital status. If the spouse requesting relief from income tax return ("spouse applicant") is separated or divorced spouse from nonrequesting.

Economic hardship. If the spouse applicant would suffer economic hardship, if the service does not grant relief from income tax liability.

Knowledge or reason to know. If the requesting spouse had knowledge or reason to know that the spouse nonrequesting would not pay income tax liability on income tax correctly reported back together (case of underpayment), or a tax deficiency in the tax declaration (case of deficiency). A fiscal deficit generally result from gross income under-reporting or over-reporting of deductions.

Legal obligation of the spouse nonrequesting. If the spouse nonrequesting has a legal obligation to pay the liability of outstanding income tax under a divorce or an agreement. This factor will not weigh in favor of relief if the applicant knew or had reason to know, when entering into the agreement or divorce, the spouse not requiring would not pay the income tax liability.

Significant benefits. If the spouse applicant received significant benefits (beyond normal support) from liability for unpaid taxes or giving rise to the deficit.

Compliance with laws of income tax. If the spouse applicant has made an effort in good faith to conform to the laws on income tax in the years after the year passive passive or years it refers to the distress call.

Abuse. If the spouse nonrequesting abused spouse applicant.

Physical or mental health. If the applicant spouse was in poor physical or mental health to date the spouse applicant has signed the joint tax returns or at the time the spouse applicant requested relief from the back.

The last two factors above if this weighs in favor of relief, but if absent not weigh against relief.

Proc Rev. 2003-61 provides that his list is not exclusive, and that the service will consider and weigh all the relevant facts and circumstances in deciding applications for equitable relief under code section 6015. In practice, however, the IRS and Tax Court of the United States applied only eight factors above. The factors were awarded an equal weight, except in the case of deficit, knowledge of the applicant spouse item giving rise to the deficiency (understated or overstated deductions gross income) was "a strong weight factor against relief".

A spouse applicant has been denied relief unless she could prove to be a majority of applicable factors weighing in favour of it. And the tax court, under the counsel of the IRS, went to lengths to find unrealistic that spouses failed factors in disputed cases. In one of my recent cases, tests have shown that the spouses had filed joint tax returns income throughout their marriage. When a return was filed with a balance due, had always been paid. An accounting firm retained by her husband late in preparing income tax returns of the pair for four years. When the accounting firm, finally, preparations were made returns, joint with a substantial balance due each year. IRS counsel led, and the judge found that the tax, the requesting spouse (wife) had reason to know that the unpaid balances on tax returns in question would not have been paid.

Powerball ticket sold millions of dollars in Berks

Powerball ticket sold millions of dollars in Berks:  No shop of Berks County sold a ticket that won $ 1 million in the Powerball drawing Wednesday night.

Because nobody has hit all the numbers-4, 19, 28, 29 and 47 with a 5-the Powerball jackpot has risen to a whopping $ 146 million for the design of Saturday.

The design has produced three winners of 1 million dollars, which matched the first five numbers, but not the Powerball.

The ticket of Pennsylvania was bought in a shop of Turkey Hill in Birdsboro furnace Street, about a dozen miles South-East of reading. The other two winners of seven digits were sold in Indiana and Washington State.

Before the January 15, the first five issues of correspondence would be worth $ 200,000.

But in raising the ticket price to $ 2 Powerball also that day, its prizes. jacked

The hope was that the game would produce lots more millionaires. The total so far, however, was modest-five in three designs.

But just wait. On 2 November, for example, a remarkable 19 tickets matching the first five issues. Under the new rules, would have won $ 1 million.

If any of the three winners also had the option of $ 1 power play, the prize would have been increased to 2 million dollars. No one has won that award.

If the jackpot rolls over again on Saturday night, invite rise dramatically for several reasons.

First, of course, plus any jackpot gets, the faster it grows.

Secondly, the jackpot is only 12 million dollars for Mega Millions, another multistate lottery game. The two head to head in 41 States, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Powerball can cost twice as much-Mega Millions is still $ 1-but the jackpot is more than a dozen times larger.

In addition, Powerball seems to be raking in money as fast as before. In July, for example, three designs saw a jackpot worth 76 million dollars up from 57 million dollars, to 133 million dollars. The final three designs saw a jackpot worth 80 million dollars up to 66 million dollars to 146 million dollars.

That is for the annuity, among others. Payment in cash is estimated as $ 91.4 million before taxes, of course.

A note about the game of power: no longer is a number that is used to draw multiple lower premiums. Instead, power play prizes are now fixed in larger quantities. For example, the third prize of level-matching four numbers and the Powerball is now $ 10,000 without the power play, $ 40,000 with it. Match only the same pays $ 3, Powerball but $ 12 with the power play.

UFC Fox Next to Evans is Jon Jones

UFC Fox Next to Evans is Jon Jones:  Ultimate Fighting Championship in Chicago for UFC blew on Fox and was Rashad Evans facing Phil Davis at a meeting of weights in the United Center. The last time the UFC had held an event in Illinois is UFC 90 in 2008.

In the main event, Evans (22-1-1, 12-1-1 UFC) won a unanimous decision Davis (UFC 9-1, 5-1). The five-round bout was scored 50-45. The loss was the first for Davis in his career as a 10-fight, but more surprising was the way he lost the fight, be outwrestled.

Davis was a four time all-American NCAA Division I American at Penn State, so it's supposed to be outwrestled a shot to his game plan.
Davis was much improved standup from its previous meetings, but his lack of maturity as a complete MMA fighter was evident throughout the fight. His transitions from standup to Takedown were not as fluent as it would to an ex-champion Evans. "Takedown MMA came to transitions, so you can be the best college wrestler in the sport, but if you don't have good transitions from your fist to your Takedown then you're not going to have a good shot," said Evans.

Evans considers, further, that it was his experience in the cage that helped him win the decision. "I think he (Davis) needs a couple of years before his stand-up is better than mine," said Evans.
With the victory, you will encounter later Evans ' against the heavyweight champion, UFC, Jon "Bones" Jones. The meeting is scheduled to take place at UFC 145 in Atlanta at Philips Arena on April 21.

This is a battle of former training partner Greg Jackson's Submission Fighting under. Evans left Jackson's gym after it became apparent that the two eventually had to fight for the title.
Evans fought off Imperial N.d.r (aka "Blackzilians") in Boca Raton, Florida, a gym, he founded with several Brazilian fighters.

"On MMAjunkies.com, Evans said, I want to put the rivalry to read and more important to have a chance to get back my belt," he said. "I think I can beat Jon Jones, and I see areas where I can capitalize on."
In the event co-main, Chael Sonnen (27-11-1, 6-4 UFC) has taken a unanimous decision over Michael Bisping (UFC 22-4, 12-4): 30-27, 29-28 and 29-28.

Sonnen knew that he had taken the fight on the canvas and Takedown score to win the match. But to his dismay Brit Bisping found its way back on his feet throughout the fight. Often using the cage to get back on his feet and standing during the first and second round.

In the third round, Sonnen tried to keep the meeting at the center of the cage, so that Bisping couldn't use the cage to get back. With the victory, Sonnen ensures a rematch with Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva.

Never a loss for words, Sonnen believes that Silva is a myth created by the media. "The myth of media has created, he created nothing short of jealousy to me. You're finding out why jealousy is one of the ' seven deadly sins "," said. "I'm jealous of him and created a rage and I'm going to take it and I don't make excuses. "
Sonnen was asked to fight the encounter in the village of Silva of Brazil. "I'm not fighting him in Brazil, I'm not fighting in Chicago, I'm not fighting in Las Vegas, I'm fighting in the Octagon," he said. "They can set what up to where they want, I never showed and I never supported and this won't be the first."

Sonnen delivered a message to the fans, "he is the champion, but I'm the best."

A previous version of this article had the name of Greg Jackson's Submission Fighting.

Etta James goes to rest with a rousing funeral

Etta James goes to rest with a rousing funeral:  Christina Aguilera and Stevie Wonder performed, Pandit turned preacher Al Sharpton eulogized and President Obama paid tribute in a statement Saturday at the funeral in California's legendary rhythm & blues singer Etta James.

Hundreds of friends, family and fans of James, who died on 20 January at the age of 73 years after battling leukemia and other diseases, turned out for a rousing farewell to an artist noted for his authentic singing style and his triumph against all odds to break down the barriers of cultural, racial and musical.

Late in life, beautiful classic 1961 James ' finally became an anthem for weddings and commercials-and a presidential inauguration. President Obama and his wife, first lady Michelle Obama, shared their first inaugural ball dance in January 2009 a version of the song sung by Beyonce.

Reverend Sharpton, a civil rights activist who now houses an exhibition of cable news and a longtime friend of the singer, opened his eulogy at the service, in a church in Gardena South of downtown Los Angeles, reading a statement by the President.

"Etta will be remembered for his legendary voice and his contribution to the musical heritage of our nation," read, reported the Associated Press.

With rose-draped casket of James ' on display, surrounded by floral and images of the singer of four times Grammy winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, wonder and Aguilera filled the Church of the city of refuge with their voices. Aguilera told the mourners that James was his musical inspiration, and that she has included finally in every concert in homage.

"No matter who finally sang before or after Etta, ' said Rep. Maxine Waters, Democrat Congressman, who also spoke. "It doesn't matter when it was sung, or where it was sung. At last he was branded by Etta, vulgar-diva who is his signature and we will always remember her. "

After overcoming poverty, personal pain and addiction, Sharpton said, James turned his grief into power and art, its history from tragedy to triumph.

"Beat 'em, Etta," Sharpton said in conclusion, as the mourners assembled roared for the feet. "Finally. At last. Finally! "

Earned income credit provides tax for the poor

Earned income credit provides tax for the poor:   WATSONVILLE-if you're one of the more than 20,000 families in Santa Cruz County making less than $ 50,000 per year, Uncle Sam can have a nice surprise for you at tax time.

Federal Earned Income through the Tax Credit, can benefit from a rebate of up to $ 5,751-although no taxes were withheld from your pay in 2011.

Some low-income individuals can claim the credit too, and if you need help to understand that all out, free tax preparation assistance is available.

That was the message from representatives of non-profit organizations and the IRS wanted to go out with a presentation at the Watsonville certified farmers market on Friday.

"Five people who qualify across the nation, only four indication (credit)," said Raul Polo, a tax specialist with the IRS. "That's why we are out trying to reach the maximum."

The credit, the anti-poverty program, the nation's largest, is designed to improve the finances of poor workers.

Jan Shirchild Scout nonprofit project, which provides free tax preparation assistance to low-income persons and senior citizens, said that works. He said last year, has helped a woman who lived in his pickup truck and was separated from her daughter because of living arrangement. She had a line on a flat, but has not had the first and last month's rent for the deposit. His earned income credit gave the money she needed to rent the place and reunite her family.

It is good for the community, too, as repayments are normally spent maintaining open enterprises and persons employed, Shirchild said.

"It makes a huge difference," he said.

The average credit received last year by the residents for the County was $ 1,600.

Jenna Grambort, a lawyer with the Watsonville Law Center, advised against the use of professional editors that apply tax fees for a service available for free and sometimes persuade taxpayers to take what is known as an "instant refund", but is essentially a high-interest loan. A better plan, he said, is to go to a volunteer tax preparer-which must pass certification tests themselves as professionals-and file electronically. Refunds are generally seven to 10 days, he said.

Facebook is close to the hiring of Morgan Stanley to handle the affair and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS) will probably be a "important" role in the IPO, the Wall Street Journal said yesterday. The newspaper was the first report that Facebook can present his paperwork already next week.

Larry Yu, a spokesman of Menlo Park, California-based Facebook, declined to comment, as did representatives of Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley (MS), both based in New York.

Some buy and sell orders could be made, transactions would not have been processed by Facebook at Fenwick & West LLC, people said.

Stop trading, which had allowed employees and stakeholders to buy and sell shares, does not mean the filing is imminent, the people said. Still, some companies to suspend trading in front of a store to make sure that investors cannot trade actions until all information is public, said Sam Hamadeh, chief executive officer of PrivCo based in New York.

A halt Commerce also may represent an effort by businesses to ascertain how many shareholders.

Co-founded by Mark Zuckerberg in 2004 in a Harvard University dormitory, Facebook has amassed more than 800 million users with a user-friendly website that allows anyone with an Internet connection to build profile pages, send video and photos and interact with friends. The company has touched by competitors like MySpace Inc. and generates sales from different advertisers such as AT & T Inc. (T), Best Buy co and Sony Corp.
IPO Surges

Facebook would follow a flurry of social-media holding company IPOs in 2011, the biggest year for Internet deals in the United States in more than a decade, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Nineteen companies generated 6.6 billion in 2011-the most since 2000, when 101 companies generated 11 billion. Professional networking site LinkedIn Corp., streaming music service Pandora Media Inc., (P) per day-deal site Groupon Inc. and actions of social gaming company Zynga Inc. sold all last year.

Facebook expects to be required by U.S. regulators to disclose its financial results by 30 April, if not go public by then, the company said last year when it announced an investment from Goldman Sachs and other supporters. The investment of 1.5 billion dollars the company valued at 50 billion dollars.

Facebook has decided to wait until 2012 for IPO give Zuckerberg more time to gain users and increase your sales, people familiar with the matter said in 2010.

"I realize that I am not a seasoned Director and that the world is waiting to see my movie and are not going to blow smoke up my behind any," Madonna told me when I sat down with you for my HDNet talk show "Naughty but Nice with Rob". "But on the other hand, I am very proud of the work I've done and I stand by it and I'm sure will find its audience."

The film focuses on the controversial relationship between Wallis Simpson, a twice divorced American woman and Edward VIII, who abdicated his throne to marry her – an argument that Madonna wanted to explore from Wallis ' point of view.

"I think people really don't understand Wallis Simpson, and I think everyone conveniently blame on you," said the Lady. "I heard it was a story to tell on many levels. One, to examine the idea that there is no such thing as a perfect love and two, to explore the idea that nothing is as it seems, and if you really want to know someone or understand a situation, that means they must be willing to put in time and research. Just as it takes time to know a person, right? "

So Madonna would be willing to give up his throne for love? "Would find a way to have it all," he said, without missing a beat.

Eric Cantor: "nobody wants to pay higher taxes

Eric Cantor: "nobody wants to pay higher taxes: House Majority Leader Eric Cantor down the renewed push of "CBS This Morning" Wednesday, President Obama taxing millionaires, bluntly, saying, "I don't think anyone wants to pay higher taxes."

State of the Union: 10 highlights
Obama: Millionaires should pay at least the 30% tax

Mr. Obama's proposal, which would close loopholes in the tax code and lift the 30 per cent of the amount taxed on income over $ 1 million, was named for Warren Buffett after the investor billionaire told the President that you pay a tax rate less than his Secretary, Debbie Bosanek.

Bosanek was a guest in the first lady during the President's State of the Union address Tuesday night and Cantor said in an interview with Erica Hill and Charlie Rose that Mr. Obama is not the only elected official with you in mind.

"I care about Secretary of Warren Buffett," said Cantor. "I want you to do well. I want you to do better, just as I think everyone in this country should have the opportunity to achieve and pursue their dream. "

Without going into that kind of detail of his recent interview with CBS ' "60 Minutes", Cantor said Wednesday that Republicans and the White House saw serious problems "very differently."

Non Tim Gunn: "ho avuto sesso in 29 anni"

Non Tim Gunn: "ho avuto sesso in 29 anni: Tim Gunn has had quite a long dry spell. And we're not talking a few months, or even a couple of years. The "Project Runway" star says he hasn't had sex in 29 years.

Gunn, who's openly gay, hasn't been too forthcoming about his personal life in the past. But that changed during a visit to ABC's daytime lifestyle show, "The Revolution" on Tuesday.

Pictures: Tim Gunn

When the topic of conversation honed in on how to jumpstart your sex life, Gunn self-confessed mastermind, "I will share with all of you ... I haven't had sex in 29 years. Do I feel like less of a person for it? No, not even remotely. "

"I'm perfectly happy, fulfilled individual," said Gunn, who added, "I have feelings. It's not as though I am some barren forest. "

The reason? Gunn, 58, said it's psychological, explaining, "I was in a very intense relationship for a long time and my partner ended it, saying quite frankly that he was impatient with my sexual performance ... It was at the cusp "of AIDS, and I think a lot of people simply retreated because they were concerned about their health. I certainly was. I'm happy to be healthy and alive, quite frankly. "

But the style maven isn't ruling out intimacy in the future--he doesn't have a no-sex "mandate." "I don't know what's around the corner, he said."

John Boehner attempt to save the pipeline issue

John Boehner attempt to save the pipeline issue:  John Boehner will host a special guest tonight at the State of the Union address. His special guests will be including some supporters of the Keystone XL pipeline. Those visitors actually are scheduled to meet President Obama, but they were rejected earlier this month. It was soon revealed the intention of thing Boehner to invite guests. Mr Obama's decision to block the construction of trans-national gas pipeline has been used by Republicans to attack him. The problem has become a hot topic among critics and it seems that John Boehner wants to try something to turn by storm with its careful planning.

John Boehner is struggling against the strong political issue
The problem of the face of current Government now did John Boehner to take an important decision. The Republicans have surely given a hard blow from Mr. Obama's decision to block the construction of the pipeline. Stating that the project would have created 20,000 jobs and reduce dependence on foreign oil in America. It will be bad for Democrats if this problem is not solved with proper feedback. Following the annual Republican retreat last week, have vowed to keep pressure on Mr Obama to approve the pipeline. Now John Boehner will do something to stop this dangerous problem.

John Boehner will host some important entrepreneurs
At the meeting tonight, John Boehner will be welcoming important businessmen related to oil pipeline project. They are Ray Brooks, who works with Marathon Petroleum Company in Robinson and Jay Churchill who hails from Illinois, Dale Delie, President of Welspun LLC, a manufacturer of tubular pipe transportation of oil and the last guest will be lawyer Chris Langemeier pipeline, a Senator of the State of Nebraska. Will most likely ask for help from them to make political statements. And we see perhaps the result of John Boehner work in the following press release.

John Kerry sports black eyes, broken nose at State of the Union address

John Kerry sports black eyes, broken nose at State of the Union address:  President Obama may have taken aim at Republicans during his State of the Union address, but it was the former presidential candidate John Kerry, who looked like he took a beating.

The Massachusetts Democrat was spotted sporting two black eyes and a broken nose, the results of a game of pick-up hockey, his spokesman, Whitney Smith, confirmed on Wednesday.

Kerry debuted his injuries during a visit to the White House on Tuesday, when he attended the ceremony to honor the NHL Boston Bruins.

"He is fine — just very ironically he busted his nose recent ice hockey match, then certainly they could relate to the Bruins," Smith said.

Senator of 68 years, Smith said, was a slap in the face with a hockey stick during a game.

"He must be feeling like Mitt Romney after South Carolina," Smith added the Boston Globe, who broke the story Tuesday.

Kerry is no stranger to the runway. He played hockey, lacrosse and football during his time at Yale.

"It was the kind of guy ... you know what ' track ' turn is? When the puck starts going in the opposite direction, is supposed to jam on the brakes and sprint back. If you are lazy, do not stop and start; Take a tour of the track, "classmate Stanley Resor says page two ESPN in 2004. "And John was the kind of guy who would do laps. But he would kind of look cool doing it. And was a staff and a good passer — when he wanted to pass. "

SOTU: Proposte economiche di Will Obama lavoro

SOTU: Proposte economiche di Will Obama lavoro:  COMMENT in his third State of the Union speech on Tuesday night, President Obama outlined a "blueprint" for the United States economy that has emphasized the need to give all Americans ' Fair shot, "Reaffirming its longstanding message that" Americans who work hard and play by the rules every day deserve a Government and a financial system that does the same thing ".

Before the President's address, I said that he should do two things: defend the Administration's economic policies until today and talk about what will be done from this point forward, to solve the economic problems of the nation.

However, except for the bailout of the auto sector and a brief mention of a few other initiatives such as financial reform, the President has not said much of the past economic policies of his administration. In retrospect, that was probably wise. Trying to convince people that the policies of stimulus and bailout were more effective than they realize simply brings these issues to the fore. The policies were very unpopular, and arguing with the public about their success is a losing proposition. It is better to look forward. As Obama said in the speech:

I want to talk about how we move forward and roll out a project for an economy that is built to last-an economy built on American, American energy production, skills for American workers and a renewal of American values.

The President began the discussion of his economic initiatives that outlines a proposal to revive production in the United States. The plan is to use tax breaks to encourage businesses to locate in the United States, to keep jobs at home by eliminating the tax benefits for firms that move offshore to lower corporate taxes in the United States and to appeal to the goodwill of u.s. companies (which should do what they can do to bring back jobs in this country).

Obama proposes populist economic policies
Obama: Everyone deserves a "fair shot"
Full coverage: State of the Union address 2012

Obama also wants to Boost exports. To this end, the President proposed more trade agreements (and praised those that the Administration has already put in place), and he highlighted the creation of a "Trade Enforcement Unit that will have the task of investigating unfair commercial practices in countries like China."

Finally, the plan to revive employment and economic growth also involved more support for small businesses. For example, tax cuts and reduced regulatory burden, support for research and development (in particular in energy related areas), mortgage refinancing for homeowners "responsible", an extension of the payroll tax cuts and a plan for repairing crumbling infrastructure.

The plan the President outlined okay as far as goes, but I wanted a work plan that was big and bold. I wanted a plan that puts the creation of immediate employment. However, the Obama plan is formed largely by tax cuts, is fragmentary and is primarily directed at our long-term problems. Bring home the business doesn't happen overnight. R & s takes time, and so does investment in infrastructure.

Millions of people need jobs now, not later. Don't have time to wait, for example, to move production from China back in the United States, and there is no certainty that it will happen anyway. Missing from the speech was a strong and coherent plan to create jobs immediately. Don't get me wrong--we must address our long-term problems. But we also need to get people to work as soon as possible.

Obama's education initiatives also address long-term rather than short-term problems. His call to improve education at all levels and to ensure that higher education is available to all, is certainly welcome and would in the long term, but did not create many jobs in the coming months. He called for improved job retraining programs and "a national commitment to train 2 million Americans with the skills that will lead directly to a work", but also those programs will take time to implement.

Obama also mentioned other issues in the speech, such as the budget deficit and the need to regulate the financial markets. The most important proposals are its plan to impose a minimum rate of 30 per cent tax for income over a million dollars a year and the surprisingly strong commitment to prosecute financial fraud. The Administration will create "financial crimes unit investigators altame

State of Union address: 2012 Obama speech outlines the American dream, the re-election of strategy

State of Union address: 2012 Obama speech outlines the American dream, the re-election of strategy:
In his last State of the Union address before the 2012 election, President Obama urged Congress to work together to rebuild the coveted American dream.

Our 44th President, promised in a memorable phrase, "no bail-out, no hand-outs, no cop outs" for financial institutions that helped derail the American economy.

Obama spoke of the "fair" tax reform with a thinly veiled reference to phrases Republicans presidential candidates have used against him repeatedly in debates.

"You can call this ' class war ' all you want," he said, calling it pure equity. Without doubt, the State of the Union address 2012 was a campaign speech:

He said that Americans must get past personal ambition and partisan obsession "focus on the mission at hand" and keep alive the dream of restoring the economy.

"No challenge is more urgent. No discussion is more important, "he said.

"We can either settle for a country where a shrinking number of people doing really well, while a growing number barely get. Or we can restore an economy where everyone gets a fair shot, everyone does their fair share and all games by the same rules. "

"We want to keep tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans? Or want to invest in all the rest? Not if we're seriously paying down our debt, we can do both. "

Refutations were quickly and predictably by political opponents.

Indiana gov. Mitch Daniels, who delivered the GOP "official" response, said that strict adherence to the ideology was President stifle innovation:

"Extremism that stifles the development of homegrown energy or cancel a perfectly safe pipeline that employs tens of thousands, or Jack up consumer bills for any improvement in human health or global temperature, is a political pro-poverty".

"We cannot accept that we will always be a nation of haves and have-nots; We must always be a nation of haves and soon-to-haves, "said Daniels.

On Fox News, Sean Hannity interviewed GOP candidate Mitt Romney, who argues that, based on this night, the President is "disconnected from reality."

The highest point in the evening's bipartisan occurred shortly before the speech, like Obama, in making its way to the podium, paused to hug Gabrielle Giffords Rep.

Giffords is resigning from Congress this week to recover from his brain injury. A chant of "Gabby, Gabby, Gabby" could be heard throughout the House flo

Watch of Maurice Sendak's wild, hilarious appearance on ' The Colbert Report:  For many of us, Maurice Sendak's words were an indispensable part of our childhood. Its transcendent and timeless tales, notably the classic Where The Wild Things Are helping us shape we became adults. Maybe that's why 83 years appearance of author/illustrator on Tuesday night episode of The Colbert Report has struck a nerve with fans like whose life had an impact. Well, that and it was so incredibly, wake-the-person-next-to-you hilarious, will live on your DVR forever.

Sendak, who sat with the future President of South Carolina (keep the faith!) Stephen Colbert on his first segment of Grim Tales, one of the most Colberty unflinchingly honest and painfully funny gave interviews in the history of the show. Not only did Sendak keep up with Colbert in a way that guests can never (then again, this is the person who created Max, so he knows how to get into the mind of a mischievous character), but somehow made statements like "I have not decided to make happy children or make life better for them or easier for them" as much as magic books was seemingly indifferent write for us. (Who knew?! Also, did this small piece of information from Caldecott winner somehow make him more likable?)

Watch the full clip below, where Sendak discusses a wide variety of topics by Newt Gingrich ("[is] an idiot of Fame … hopelessly gross and vile") young ("I like how few and far between as do adults"), explains what "wild rumpus" really means and learns from Colbert, who is of Vin Diesel. Be careful though, PopWatchers: the part about the controversial In The Night Kitchen is NSFW as Colbert found a unique way to make the book without Johnson. "The New York 40-year-old catcher has won five World Series, was an all-star five times and finished with a batting average of 273, 275 career. home runs and RBI 1,065.

It's all very impressive, and certainly he is going to go as one of the Yankees greats of all time. But he is a Hall of Fame?

There are 16 Captors enshrined in Cooperstown. Posada-who also 1,664 hits, 900 runs scored, a percentage on the basis of percentage and 374 474-is statistically rather than average those guys.

But that can be taken two ways--it is true that Posada did not dominate any particular category, but surely holds the right among the best that ever played the position.

Has not won the Golden Gloves, and his highest finish in MVP voting were thirds in 2003 and sixth in 2007. As a point of comparison, Hall of Fame catcher Johnny Bench won 10 Golden Gloves and two MVP.

But there is much to be said for those five World Series titles, including four during a stretch of five years from 1996 to 2000 and the role that Posada played on those teams. And the fact that he played for so long and always wore a Yankees uniform – these are the kinds of things statistics, but not necessarily reveal, certainly, voters must consider.

So what do you think? Vote in the poll, then leave a comment explaining why you voted the way you did.

Prince Fielder Signing To Surprise

Prince Fielder Signing To Surprise:  Raise your hand if you saw this one coming. Prince Fielder Detroit Tigers. The surprise is not so much the destination but the apparent terms of the deal. Nine years and 214 million dollars is a commitment at least as serious as til death us part.

Just when you thought you couldn't apply the word outrageous to any agreement of Major League Baseball, the Prince arrives. Practically we saw him accepting a package with the Texas Rangers or Washington Nationals and do not remember the Tigers on the radar screen, at least as much of a point, not the size of another planet.

Clearly, the loss of catcher Victor Martinez and reliable batsman indefinitely for a knee injury diminished the prospects of American League Division champs in central defender for the 2012 season. This signature is a dramatic and urgent for the misfortune of Martinez's health problem. Martinez can't play all this next season and with him off the Tigers went from Division preferred to questionmark.

Now they are the Favorites again, though still could use another catcher. Last year the Tigers had beaten fist of one-two of Miguel Cabrera and Martinez rolling for them. Now will the one-two punch of Cabrera and Fielder. They play in the same position, first base, but likely share that place and the role of designated hitter. Fielder is coming from the Milwaukee Brewers of the National League where he was a player every day at first, but how much time he spends each slugger in the field will be up to the manager Jim Leyland.

When the free agency period began, it was clear that the No. 1 player available was Albert Pujols, who left St. Louis Cardinals to the Los Angeles Angels. Fielder was no. 2, as the hot guy to grab and took much longer. It was hard to imagine him getting that contract for a long time, but he and his agent, Scott Boras, waited all out. The average seasonal payment will be $23,8 million a year.

Because Fielder will 37 when the contract expires, this may be the last time in his career who is asked to afix his John Hancock on that a piece of paper. It also makes one wonder how much return that the Tigers will always by Fielder for those types of dollars when he is in his mid-30 's. You try to a guy who is 36 and payable mil $ 24 trade.

But this is the way in the future. Right now the Tigers, who won 96 games last year, will be examined as a successful signing Fielder for 2012, if repeated as Division champ and get the playoff. As we all know, once a team is in the postseason, if you mix as wild cards or drivers, anything can happen.

Fielder is a batter life. 282, a three-time all-star who hit more than 50 home runs in a season. One of the biggest concerns whispered (and sometimes stronger than) him about his body type. He is a very big man and he looks like the slightest slip in her diet could transform her wardrobe in all sizes XXXX garments. There is nothing I can do much of a team that, except, I suppose Fielder doesn't want to ruin his career by eating too many Twinkies. At the moment it seems unlikely that since he is a vegetarian and should have something to prove the movement for a new League with a colossal contract.

As regards the coverage goes a need, Fielder would be a perfect fit with the Texas Rangers or some other teams, as well. In Detroit, he may be the man who put the Tigers over the top in their search for a World Series title. How much is that worth to the management of Tigers? We just discovered.

Obama offers a confrontational of the Union address

Obama offers a confrontational of the Union address:  Using his State of Union speech to draw sharp contrasts with the Republicans on high profile issues such as taxes and real estate market, President Obama opened a debate of the election year that Government's role might be more intense than any in decades.

Warning Congress that "I intend to fight obstruction with action", he painted a confrontational that stands in stark contrast to the conciliatory approach the last Democrat to seek a second term in Office, Bill Clinton.

In fact, Obama strategy more closely resembles that of George w. Bush in 2004, which used to raise the issues polarizing turnout of supporters and made few concessions to the Center. The approach increases the possibility that, if he wins a second term, Obama could claim a mandate for its programme. Delivers even greater risks of error in a nation still deeply sceptical of government activism.

Only a few months ago, many voters seemed on the verge of writing Obama. But in recent weeks, two developments have given him the opportunity to ask another look of those voters. One is the economy, which has begun to show signs of improvement — declining unemployment, increasing consumer confidence and reduced levels of household debt. The other is the way that the Republican primary race recently has focused on vast wealth (and comparatively low taxation) front-Runner sometimes party, Mitt Romney.

Obama led directly to the issue of wealth with the proposed signing of his speech: a minimum tax for millionaires who was part of his call for all Americans to pay their "fair share". The proposal, which require people with incomes over 1 million dollars to pay at least the 30% tax, it would be convenient — administration officials insist coincidentally — doubling taxes that Romney paid last year, according to the statement of income, the former Governor of Massachusetts, released earlier in the day.

Similarly, the speech of other important national proposal — a plan to make more available mortgage refinancing to homeowners who owe more than the value of their homes — would put the Government more directly in the property market.

The Republicans have stood adamantly higher taxes on those they "job creators. term "and have called for Federal Government get out of the real estate market entirely, saying that federal involvement has only made the country's foreclosure crisis worse.

They also wasted no time in rejecting the basic premise of Obama defend conflicting interests of the middle class and wealthy citizens of America. "We do not accept that we will always be a nation of haves and have-nots; We must always be a nation of haves and haves soon, "Indiana gov. Mitch Daniels said in his reply. He accused Obama of "extremism" and has called for lower tax rates.

How Clinton, Obama seek re-election after a defeat, in which intermediate confusing the Republicans captured control of the House. Both Democrats delivered their state election year of the Union speech after months of clashes with Congress in which looked bruised — with some success — to paint the Republicans as extremists.

But Clinton sought to co-opt the GOP rhetoric, memorable declaring at the beginning of his speech that "the era of big government is over." And although he used the power of his Office to block Republican efforts to roll back Government, has largely put aside its intention to expand its reach in areas such as health care. Blurring the contrast between himself and the GOP, Clinton has made a frustrating target elusive, but set a campaign that has avoided the most important issues.

The difference between Obama and Clinton approach reflects the personality of the two men, but also the times.

Clinton, for all the adulation that now receives from the left, entered national politics by trying to break the hold that liberal interest groups has had in his party and criticizing what he called the "braindead politics of both parties." Obama, for all its professed desire to create a political culture "post-partisan", comes from a more liberal tradition in particular.

More importantly, the political center, Clinton turned toward which has eroded so much in 16 years that Obama probably could not follow the pattern of Clinton even if desired.

America's political parties have grown more polarized. Democrats have moved slightly to the left; Republicans have moved many steps to the right, according to political scientists who
